A family in Barre, VT donated a car after seeing a poster put up by a volunteer. The donated car was repaired and provided to Ann in Rutland. The car has changed her life.

Why Volunteer? Because Good News Garage needs your help to engage others in our community. By providing information to others we can find more cars that will help families struggling to gain their financial independence.

Volunteer Positions in Vermont

Volunteer for Poster Distribution

Put up posters in Barre, Burlington, Rutland...You can do this one time or monthly. Any time you can give us is appreciated.

Volunteer Ambassador (Burlington, VT)

Attend events, usually in the evening and weekend. Tell people about Good News Garage and hand out information (usually 4-6 hours an event). Training is provided, and it is a great way to meet new people.

Volunteer Marketing Assistant (Burlington, VT)

Assist the Marketing and Development Manager with marketing projects. This is a great position for someone looking to get experience in marketing and public relations. Hours: 8 -20 hours per week during between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Volunteer for Snow Removal (Burlington, VT)

When it snows we need help at our 331 North Winooski Ave office cleaning off cars, shoveling and snowblowing.  Hours: 2-3 hours per snow storm during the week in the morning.
