IBM Car Show in Vermont, September 2007

IBM Volunteers: Simone Hasker and Laura Nason organizers for the IBM Car/Motorcycle Show benefit for Good News Garage.

In Williston, Vermont on Thursday, September 13th 36 IBM employees rolled in to IBM's 861 parking lot, driving vintage and classic cars and motorcycles. The well polished vibrant cars glistened in the afternoon sun. Today was the IBM ECCC Car/Motorcycle Show and the IBM drivers were here to have fun, talk cars and raise awareness about the importance of Good News Garage's car donation program.
Good News Garage Operations and Program Director, Michael Muzzy, was there to help get the word out that Good News Garage Vermont DOES take cars over 10 years-old and that van donation is needed for Good News Garage's Ready To Go van service.

The event was attended by IBM employees, retirees and their friends and family. They voted for the most unique car/motorcycle. The winners received a trophies, first place was, Mike Nason for his 1968 GTO, second place Glenn & Virginia Turner for their 1938 Plymouth Coupe, and third place to Jeremy Seerveld for his Shelby Cobra. There were also door prizes that went to:Chris Ferguson, Greg Nelson, Paul Gagne, and Mark Bullock.
Between the registration fee and the purchase of tickets to vote, IBM employees raised over $850.00 for Good News Garage.

IBM's ECCC Car/Motorcycle Show was possible because of the hard word of the following IBM volunteers Stu Martin, Simone Hasker, Glenn Turner and Laura Nason.
