MASSACHUSETTS (OTHER THAN ON CAPE COD)
The Access To Jobs program in Massachusetts is administred by TransAction Associates. CAPE COD
If you live in the Cape Cod area, contact Skip Johnson at the Homeless Prevention Council, also known as the Interfaith Council for the Homeless. You must live on the Cape, be income eligilble and be willing to do community service in exchange for the car. Skip's phone number is 1-508-255-9667 extension 14.  The Cape Cod program is accepting applications.

JUMP START CLIENTS

* We are currently NOT accepting any new Jump Start applications*

Clients coming to GNG via Jump Start or a sponsoring organization must not only meet the following criteria, they and the sponsoring organization must assist financially with the procurement and reconditioning of the vehicle. Typically the sponsoring organization pays 40%, the client pays 40%, and GNG pays 20% of the total cost.

Jump Start clients MUST meet ALL of the following requirements to qualify for a vehicle:

• Applicant must be employed and their income cannot exceed 200% of the current federal poverty level
• Applicant must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license
• Applicant has an acceptable driving record
• Applicant does not have any other vehicle in the household
• Applicant cannot afford to purchase a car of his/her own
• Applicant and sponsor must pay a portion of the costs associated with the vehicle

HOW TO APPLY

• Complete the application and return it to your sponsor.
• Sign the application (must be signed by BOTH the client and the caseworker or sponsor). 
• Caseworkers or sponsors should forward the application along with a copy of the client's Massachusetts Drivers License, to:

When the completed and signed application is received, we conduct a thorough review and evaluation of the client's application and their transportation needs and work to place each client with an appropriate vehicle.  Due to a fluctuating availability of vehicles, the entire process may take several months.
