Ready to Go – A program of Good News Garage Vermont
Ready to Go is a program of Good News Garage in Vermont. Ready to Go uses donated Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler minivans. Good News Garage is always seeking more donated minivans to use in the program. If a donor's van is used by Ready to Go, the donor may deduct the 'fair market' value of the donated van on their taxes.
Ready to Go is a transitional transportation service which provides rides to low-income Vermonters in need of transportation to jobs, job training, and other job-related services, such as interviews and childcare. Good News Garage's Ready to Go works in partnership with the Vermont Department for Children and Families, Economic Services Division to provide this service.
Ready to Go is only available to people referred to Good News Garage by either the State of Vermont or by businesses and organizations that contract with Good News Garage. Please contact your caseworker or the State of Vermont Department of Economic Services for more information about Good News Garage's Ready to Go.
If you have a Dodge, Plymouth, or Chrysler minivan to donate, please submit your van's information on this website. If your nonprofit organization or government agency would like to contract with Good News Garage's Ready to Go transportation service, contact Paul Boone, Program Manager at pboone@ready-to-go.org or call toll-free 877-768-9950 extension 34.
